We are proud and active members of Fractured Atlas!

OUR MISSION

The Anthropologists is a company of artists dedicated to the creation of investigative, socially relevant, and engaging theatrical work. We train together on a regular basis using physical theater and contemporary dance techniques to devise organic, ensemble-based work. We are committed to researching topics from an anthropological perspective in order to break down and unleash cultural discoveries.

What We Do

We create original, ensemble-devised theatrical events using improvised work, original and found text and inspirational artifacts (paintings, songs, poems, etc.)

How We Do It

Consistent training through bi-weekly jam sessions and commissioned workshops.

Our movement-based training is inspired by Viewpoints, Biomechanics. Liz Lerman along with other techniques and master teachers.
