Currently on hold due to Covid!
Jam sessions are physical theatre and devising training session; a space and time for artists to work on their craft, build skills, experiment with new techniques, and recharge artistic batteries. Jam Sessions are all about experimentation. They are designed as a laboratory for actors, directors, designers - these training sessions are here for everyone's benefit. To be added to the email list, contact us at info@theanthropologists.org.
Jam sessions are held once monthly and there is currently a sliding scale donation of $5-10. We aim to keep these training sessions as affordable as possible, for as long as possible.
SOME OF THE TOOLS WE USE:
- movement-based improvisation
- principles of Viewpoints, some Laban and Biomechanics
- choreographing tools (Liz Lerman, Doug Varone and others)
- composition work
- experimenting with dialogue and monologue
and lots more!

Our training is inspired by Viewpoints, Biomechanics, Tectonic Theatre Company, Liz Lerman and Doug Varone along with other techniques and master teachers.
