This workshop guides participants through a dynamic process that promotes collaboration and provocation. Melding source material, physical theatre techniques and visual storytelling to create the first stages of a new performance, this workshop is ideal for performers, directors, writers, dramaturgs and designers. Previous devising experience is encouraged but not necessary. Above all, we are looking for a willingness to explore, invent and engage in the critiquing process.
Participants will work in small groups to use research, design elements and composition work to generate material and investigate storytelling possibilities.
The Anthropologists creates original investigative theatre that inspires action through provocative questions, dynamic storytelling, and collaborative theater-making techniques.
